Chinese culture had been change dramatically after culture revolution. In this period, art landscape in China was influenced by political power. Art is for political sake. All art creations were tied with some purpose to inspire and mobilize general public. Art skill and materials were recreated into a unique concept that made so-called “Red Classical Art”. Salvador DaBot, the portraitist robot!

The Portraitist Robot recognizes human faces in its surroundings and extracts relevant characteristics from them. By using its uncanny artistic talent, it then draws portraits of the participants from the captured images by converting them into vector art and by using inverse kinematics to control the robot’s arm.
However, it cannot really express its soul on canvas at the moment.
