On the edge of the neon-drenched city, Dr. Burgher sets off with two unusual companions—Goobert, a green mutated insect, and Bobou, a disoriented alien stranded on Earth. They leave the hustle and bustle behind, embarking on a fantastical journey along the Path of Green Light. Beneath the fields, forests and setting sun, the three travelers seek respite and discover the cosmic way beyond the city. Even when the city’s neon fades, the starlight never dims.

Dr. Burgher’s studio is a symphony composed of forgotten dreams. For thirty-seven years, he has chased the ultimate answers: invisibility, the mysteries of time, even the subtle principles behind a trembling wisp of thought. Yet as the city’s neon signs flash wildly outside his window, he suddenly understands: the world no longer needs his answers. And so he recalls his original aspiration in pursuing his dreams.
Just then, Bobou, the alien stranded on Earth, cries out in a clear, bell-like voice:

“The walls of this city are closing in. I miss the skies of my home planet!”
Beside him stands Goobert, a green mutated insect with a fondness for 1930s jazz. It vibrates its antennae, humming softly, its tiny paws tapping gently on the studio workbench, weaving a melody amid the chaos.
Dr. Burgher sighs.
“Perhaps it is time for an adventure.”
He takes out the key to the *Stardust Express*—a vintage convertible painted in sunflower orange and golden checkered patterns, its engine rumbling like the very breath of wilderness life. They weave through crowded streets, neon signs blazing wildly on all sides. Passersby hurry along, none noticing the three odd companions in the classic car. Yet Dr. Burgher feels something quietly shift. The city’s clamor fades away, replaced by Bobou’s soft cheer:

“Let us go find the light of the cosmos!”
A tunnel looms ahead, its walls stained with the grime of the city. Once they enter, all noise vanishes instantly. In the darkness, Dr. Burgher reaches out and holds Bobou’s hand. Goobert’s antennae flicker rhythmically—a silent signal of comfort.
“We’re leaving the city. Little stars, here we come!” Goobert murmurs.
Suddenly, light bursts forth. Sunlight pours from the tunnel’s end, revealing an endless wilderness. Grass sways in the wind like a living tapestry. Bobou leans out the window, its red cloak fluttering in the breeze.
“My home planet must have fields just like this!” it exclaims.
Goobert bounces excitedly, its tiny wings fluttering rapidly. Hum, hum.

They drive onward into a forest, where sunlight filters through ancient branches and leaves. The car’s old engine sings a song only they understand, blending with the rustle of foliage and distant birdsong. A soft glow emanates from Bobou’s palm beneath the trees, as if its home planet is calling to it.
At last, they reach a clearing. Perched atop a hill is a treehouse converted from an airliner, its fuselage entwined with the roots of a giant tree. A wooden staircase leads to the cabin door. The sky blazes with sunset hues—saffron yellow, rose red and indigo weaving together.
“This is the Cookie House of RuralMix, designed by an artist. I found it on an ancient map. It is said that many intangible civilizations lost by humankind can be found here!” Dr. Burgher says softly.
Bobou’s eyes widen.

“My home planet should have a place exactly like this!”
Goobert hums: “Hum, hum. Let us stay!”
Laughter rings out soon after. A crowd gathers: a guitarist, a snack stall selling dried fruits.
“Welcome! You are the first distant visitors since the Great Migration!” says the barbecue chef in an apron.

Warmth fills Dr. Burgher’s heart. This is not merely a refuge beyond the bustling city—it is a place made for people like them. Here, repressed souls can bloom with new life.
As night falls, they drive the *Stardust Express* back to the city streets. Dr. Burgher, Bobou and Goobert no longer feel trapped. For they have finally learned: the noise of the city is not the only way to live. There are countless choices.
People like them are all searching for sustainable light, sharing life experiences, and understanding that every journey, no matter how long, leads to the happy home within the heart. And sometimes, home is also where unexpected treasures are found.
